Mary White

March 10, 1962 — August 1, 2022

LOS ANGELES

Mary L. White-Nichols, our loving sister, auntie, and friend, passed in the early hours of August 1, 2022, after a long health battle. Mary was born March 10, 1962 and grew up surrounded by her large family in Gardena, CA.

Mary was influenced by her large family, who meant the absolute most to her. Family inspired her to be a kind, nurturing, and caring woman; and although she did not have kids of her own, Mary was the child whisperer and played a huge role in the upbringing of most of her nieces and nephews and their children. She spoiled them and took them on adventures they never thought they'd experience such as: journeys to the beach, Christmas parades, the theatre, bike rides on the canal and so many other places.

Mary loved Jesus-Christ and was a God-fearing woman, who always kept a bible on her! Mary fell in love with Jimmy Nichols, who introduced her to their church home, Shepard's House Christian Center, where she and Jimmy were very involved in church and was married by their beloved Pastor and First Lady, Sam, and Sharon Martinez.

Mary will forever be remembered as funny, outgoing and as a true kid at heart. She loved animals and didn't play about her music. She loved Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and

R. Kelly to name a few. She also loved her movies. If she didn't make it home in time before her stories, oh that was a problem! She was not going to miss her General Hospital. Mary was the family historian and she stayed taking photos, storing them in photo albums, large frames, and home movies on VHS. There isn't anyone in the family she didn't have a photo of and a story to go with it. She will be deeply missed by all.

Mary was preceded in death by Her husband; Jimmy Nichols, Her parents; Ruth and Richard White, Her sister; Lorraine Anderson, Her 3 brothers; Ronnie Anderson, Michael Anderson, and Craig White. And her nieces; Tawanda "Mookie" Polnitz and Nayshawn Coleman.

Mary is survived by her 4 sisters: Michelle White, Stephanie White, Tina White and Stacy White and a multitude of nieces, nephews grandnieces and grandnephews.

We now ask that you take a moment to hug your child, kiss your mom, cuddle your grandkids, call your cousins, embrace your friends; take the time to make sure your loved ones know they are loved. Time waits for no one, but love will see us through any hardship.
