LOS ANGELES

Kolisha Renee Mitchell affectionately known as “KOKO” was born October 11, 1987, to the union of Terrence Kennedy Sr., and Pamela Renee Mitchell, both who proceeded her in death, in Los Angeles California, where she accepted Christ at an early age. She was a very active member in her church home, “Church of The Living God Pillar and Ground of the Truth” where she served on the usher board and sung in the choir.

She attended West Athens Elementary School, Bret Harte Preparatory Middle School, and Washington Preparatory High School, where she fell in love with cheerleading, and later became Cheer Captain of her squad and received her High School Diploma, Class of 2005. She furthered her education at College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California and later received her Medical Assistant Certification at Career Care Institute Vocational College in Lancaster, California.

Kolisha was always a dedicated hard worker and started her work experience in high school as a Salesclerk at JC Penny's Department Store. She later relocated to Lancaster, California where she was then employed for several years at Walmart as the automotive Department Manager. She then worked at the V.A. Hospital for 7 years and recently worked as a Medical Assistant at WAYS home Healthcare in Inglewood, California.

Koko was a very loving and compassionate individual whose smile always lit up a room. That smile later attracted Zachary King and in 2006 their relationship began. On March 30, 2008, they welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Zanaya Rene King. On October 12, 2012, they joined in holy matrimony and were married. Over the years they created beautiful memories together as a family.

In 2019, Kolisha was all smiles as she found new love with Michael Pree. They later welcomed a precious baby girl named Madison V'Rene Pree on January 13, 2021. KoKo's love for her girls and family was tremendous. She loved gathering her nieces every weekend to enjoy activities with them and her girls. She also loved hanging out with her partner in crime, her sister-in-law (best friend) Keshia. She loved being around family enjoying game nights where she would whoop on everybody in Tonk. KoKo loved listing to good music, dancing, and enjoying good food, she always knew what was cooking in the pot before she even opened it. She was always full of life and love.

She is proceeded in death by her father, Terrence Kennedy Sr., mother, Pamela Mitchell, sister, Tacarra Kennedy, grandmothers: Erma Lee Kennedy and Lela Higgins, grandfather, Robert Kennedy Sr., great grandmothers: Celest Dove and Laura Clinton, aunt Barbarise Kennedy, cousins: William Huggins, Delores Mathews, and Michael Thomas.
